Issue No. 02 of our zine:

On Friday we released Issue No. 02 of the Public Narrative zine on Friday: Toward Solidarity. With this second issue, we aim to connect intergenerational readers to Chicago stories, trusted community journalists and media outlets, and nonprofits working to create a more just and equitable city.
"We’ll need to show up through the pain and discomfort of hard truths," wrote Public Narrative President & Executive Director Jhmira Alexander in a recent letter published on our blog.
We held more virtual Uplifting Voices conversations about solidarity, healing in our 'hoods, and reporting on Black resistance and racial injustice, in partnership with Local Voices Network, Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation, and Injustice Watch.
Natalie Moore is the latest to be featured on our blog in Voices of Our Time, a series by blog editor Mareva Lindo featuring past Terkel Award winners.
Just six more days to nominate a journalist: Journalists and freedom of the press are under attack. Take a moment to thank a community-oriented Chicago journalist by nominating them for this year’s Studs Terkel Community Media Awards. Nominations are due by June 30.
